About The Position

The Director of Strategy & Growth for Grid Automation North America (NAM) will lead the organization responsible for developing the overall growth strategy for the region. This team will drive the growth of the full GE Grid Automation portfolio, including distribution automation, microgrid systems, SCADA, digital substations, PLTE, and more, across renewable energy, transmission, distribution, and industrial markets. The role involves working with existing and new customers to lead the development and deployment of project solutions and services. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing budgets, overseeing campaigns across various channels to drive sales and brand growth, analyzing market data, leading marketing teams, and collaborating with other functions such as sales and product development. The candidate will leverage past experience, internal/external resources, and partners to ensure GE Vernova delivers quality solutions and will interact with sales partners, leaders, and technical resources from other GE Vernova businesses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Marketing and/or Product Management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in applicable markets (distribution, transmission, industrial and renewables).
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a growing team of approximately 8 growth and marketing leaders.
  • Develop and execute market growth strategies for the North America Grid Automation organization (GA NAM).
  • Lead the regional Long-Term Strategy (LTS) process for GA NAM and refine strategy on an ongoing basis as new details emerge.
  • Act as the liaison between the GA sales team and the GA product line.
  • Lead and promote Solutions and Services customer opportunities jointly with the sales organization.
  • Lead the Annual Market Assessment for the region.
  • Analyze market trends and customer data to identify and guide strategies to advise the wider organization on developing market opportunities.
  • Lead and facilitate growth campaigns to expand business outreach.
  • Work closely with sales, product development, and other departments to ensure strategic alignment and achieve shared objectives.
  • Lead new product and solutions requirements specification for North America and drive the plan with global product lines.
  • Collaborate with GA sales directors to create a NAM market overview with a rolling 24-month outlook, focused on customer challenges and the value of solving those challenges segmented by market segments served.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team, Services, and R&D teams, providing input to the roadmap and capabilities and solutions needed to serve the market.
  • Work with sales teams to support customer engagement, pre-qualification, and technical discussions for new solutions and services.
