About The Position

The Director of Social Services supervises the social services necessary to meet legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory agency guidelines. The role oversees therapy services, case management, education, and discharge planning, and provides guidance and supervision to social workers, therapists, and interns. Duties must be performed in accordance with Joint Commission, federal and state regulations, PAM Health policies and procedures, and Performance Improvement Standards.

Requirements

Must hold an LMSW or LCSW license in the state where the hospital is located.
Current BLS certification.
Crisis management certifications as required by hospital policy and standards.
3–5 years of clinical experience.
2–3 years of experience in an appropriate supervisory role.

Responsibilities

Supervise social services to meet legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory agency guidelines.
Supervise therapy services, case management, education, and discharge planning.
Provide guidance and supervision to social workers, therapists, and interns.
Perform duties in accordance with Joint Commission, federal and state regulations, PAM Health policies and procedures, and Performance Improvement Standards.
