About The Position
The Director of Social Services leads and supervises social services and related therapy, case management, education, and discharge-planning functions at Voyages Behavioral Health Hospital. The role ensures services meet applicable legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory guidelines and are delivered in accordance with Joint Commission requirements, federal and state regulations, PAM Health policies and procedures, and Performance Improvement Standards. Requirements
- Must hold an LMSW or LCSW license in the state where the hospital is located.
- Current BLS certification.
- Crisis management certifications required by hospital policy and standards.
- 3–5 years of clinical experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in an appropriate supervisory role.
Responsibilities
- Supervise social services to ensure they meet legal, organizational, medical staff, and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Supervise therapy services, case management, education, and discharge planning.
- Provide guidance and supervision to other social workers, therapists, and interns.
- Perform duties in accordance with Joint Commission requirements, federal and state regulations, PAM Health policies and procedures, and Performance Improvement Standards.
