About The Position

Unitus Security, a leading provider of security services for Class A commercial office buildings and mixed-use properties throughout Metro Atlanta, is seeking experienced security leaders to fill multiple Director of Security positions. At Unitus Security, security is more than protection—it is hospitality, partnership, and exceptional service delivery. Our Directors serve as the face of Unitus Security at premier properties and are empowered to take ownership of operations, build high-performing teams, and strengthen client relationships.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of security management experience within a Class A commercial office building or mixed-use property environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing security operations at a Class A office building.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong understanding of access control systems, visitor management, and physical security operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and hospitality mindset.
  • Relationship-oriented leadership style with the ability to effectively engage tenants, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and demonstrate accountability without deflecting responsibility.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screening.
  • Clean driving record for the previous three years.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, or a related field.
  • State-required Security Certification.
  • Military, law enforcement, corporate security, or emergency management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Supervisors, Assistant Directors, and Security Officers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.
  • Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, corrective action, and employee development planning.
  • Build trust and camaraderie with employees, clients, tenants, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property management and ownership groups.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants and client representatives.
  • Address security concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Deliver a hospitality-driven security experience that reflects the property's standards and culture.
  • Ensure all security operations are conducted in accordance with client expectations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Manage access control systems, visitor management programs, patrol operations, and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct site assessments and identify security vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and external partners as necessary.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels and operational coverage.
  • Collaborate with recruiting and HR teams to identify, interview, and onboard qualified personnel.
  • Review schedules, payroll reports, overtime usage, and staffing forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, incident documentation, and operational summaries.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and client meetings.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to manage communications, reporting, and operational planning.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead emergency response efforts and crisis management activities.
  • Develop and maintain site emergency action plans.
  • Conduct drills, exercises, and preparedness training.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and security standards.
