The community college system’s more than 3,500 faculty and staff serve more than 60,000 students annually at seven colleges and five satellite sites. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Reporting to the college President or an assigned executive administrator, the Director of Security manages and oversees all aspects of security operations at a college campus and its satellite sites, accountable for ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, staff and visitors, and the safeguarding of campus property. The Director of Security provides relationship-based leadership, working in close collaboration with the campus community to establish and maintain a welcoming and safe environment with an effective security presence that promotes a student-center learning environment. The Director of Security is also responsible for maintaining institutional and compliance mandated records and crime statistics in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act; preparing various reports related to incidents, crimes, and security operations; and scheduling and ensuring staff compliance with required security training. Performs related duties as required.
