About The Position

Blue Sky Innovators (BSI) is seeking a Director of Security to join our team in Reston, VA. This role involves owning all aspects of BlueSky's facility and security program, end to end. The Director will direct physical security for our corporate headquarters, including SCIF spaces, ensuring continuous compliance with ICD 705 and related physical security standards. They will manage consultants supporting our Personnel Security program and classified IT security, setting priorities and holding the work to standard. This position serves as the company's senior point of contact for personnel security actions, including clearance processing, periodic reinvestigations, and adjudication coordination. The role also supports BlueSky's commercial security and executive protection offerings, lending operational expertise to customer solutions, and advises company leadership on security risk, compliance posture, and program readiness ahead of customer and government inspections.

Requirements

Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Experience supporting classified DoW and Intelligence Community programs.
10+ years of experience in SCI and SAR security program responsibilities.
Experience across physical, personnel, and information security disciplines in a corporate security role.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting DARPA or NRO programs.
Counterintelligence experience
