About The Position

This position works directly with district leaders to partner with school leaders to support the implementation of school improvement priorities. The role ensures alignment between identified needs, instructional practices, and student outcomes. It involves supporting principals and school leadership teams in developing, implementing, and monitoring Comprehensive School Improvement Plans (CSIPs) and Title I Federal budgets. The Director provides high-level support to Title I and federally identified schools, collaborates across divisions to strengthen job-embedded support, and designs instructional walkthrough processes. The role also involves analyzing data to identify trends, facilitate continuous improvement cycles, and leverage external consultants. Additionally, the Director serves as a liaison between schools and district departments, ensuring clear communication and resource alignment, and supports stakeholder communication and preparation for monitoring and reviews.

Requirements

Master's degree, required.
Minimum of three years of successful school administrative experience in education.
Ability to work well with teachers, school administrative teams, and district office leadership.
Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
Ability to be present at the physical worksite.

Nice To Haves

Georgia Educator certificate in Educational Leadership, preferred.
Experience in school leadership, instructional coaching, or school improvement preferred.
Knowledge of federal programs, specifically Title I, preferred.

Responsibilities

Work directly with the Assistant Superintendent of School Improvement and district leaders to partner with school leaders to support the implementation of school improvement priorities, ensuring alignment between identified needs, instructional practices, and student outcomes.
Support principals and school leadership teams in the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of Comprehensive School Improvement Plans (CSIPs) and Title I Federal budgets, ensuring alignment to district priorities and continuous improvement cycles.
Provide differentiated, high-level support to Title I and federally identified schools, particularly in areas requiring deeper analysis, planning, and problem-solving.
Collaborate across divisions with Directors, School Improvement Facilitators, and the District Aligned Support Team to strengthen job-embedded support and ensure alignment, consistency, and responsiveness across schools.
Design, support, and implement instructional walkthrough processes and feedback systems, helping school leaders analyze trends and translate feedback into actionable next steps.
Analyze multiple data sources to identify trends, monitor progress, and support schools in adjusting strategies to improve student outcomes.
Facilitate and support continuous improvement cycles, including data reviews, progress monitoring, and follow-up actions.
Identify, secure, and leverage external consultants and partners, in coordination with cross-divisional teams, to deliver targeted supports for academic achievement and whole child needs.
Serve as a liaison between schools and district departments, ensuring clear communication, alignment of resources, and coherence of support.
Ensure effective communication and outreach to stakeholders, including school leaders and district staff, and support preparation for monitoring, audits, and program reviews related to school improvement and federal programs.
