About The Position

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a motivated, dependable, and dedicated leader to serve as our Director of Performance Improvement / Risk Management. This role partners with leadership and medical staff to design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive PI and Risk Management program that strengthens patient safety, quality outcomes, and survey readiness. Supervise and support daily performance improvement activities, ensuring actions are taken as needed and authorized by organizational policies and procedures. Lead daily performance improvement activities and ensure actions are taken in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Receive and review department/service performance measures and documentation; coordinate reporting of findings. Maintain PI records, performance measures, and statistical tools used for tracking outcomes and improvement work. Review incident reports, patient/physician surveys, and patient complaints to identify patterns and trends and identify improvement opportunities. Attend and participate in meetings where PI activities occur and share relevant data appropriately. Support Joint Commission, CMS, and state survey readiness. Partner closely with hospital leadership and the Patient Advocate to support service recovery and a strong culture of safety.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nursing or a health-related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement is preferred.
  • Licensure to practice nursing or in a mental health-related field in Georgia is preferred.
  • Computer skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and business writing.
  • CPR/First Aid and CPI trained and certified
