About The Position

As a Director of Scheduling, you will provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide construction scheduling activities across complex industrial, manufacturing, technology, and capital construction projects. This role is responsible for driving scheduling excellence, developing high-performing teams, improving project predictability, and providing executive leadership with critical insights into project performance, resource planning, forecasting, schedule risk, and successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction scheduling, project controls, project management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing project schedulers or project controls professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience managing schedules for complex industrial, manufacturing, technology, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience managing scheduling processes, standards, and governance across multiple projects, programs, or business units.
  • Advanced knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, schedule development, forecasting, schedule recovery, and project controls principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling platforms.
  • Strong understanding of construction execution methodologies and project lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present schedule performance, forecasts, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization's scheduling function, overseeing a portfolio of industrial construction, manufacturing, technology, and capital projects.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Estimating, Construction, and Project Controls leaders to establish scheduling priorities, evaluate project performance, and identify critical path risks that could impact project delivery.
  • Provide executive-level schedule analysis, forecasting, resource planning, and portfolio reporting.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of complex project schedules.
  • Lead and mentor a team of scheduling professionals.
  • Establish governance standards, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Improve project execution, resource utilization, forecasting accuracy, and schedule reliability.
  • Ensure leadership has visibility into project health and organizational performance.
