About The Position

WETM-TV (NBC) | WIVT/WBGH (ABC/NBC) is seeking a high-impact Director of Sales to lead sales operations across two New York markets: Elmira (WETM-TV) and Binghamton (WIVT/WBGH). This role is responsible for delivering best-in-class sales performance and expanding into critical regional key accounts and channels. The Director of Sales will implement strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market development in line with Nexstar's vision and values. This position involves creating customized media plans leveraging Nexstar Digital’s full suite of products (OTT, Video, Social, Data, Addressable) and meeting sales quotas. The role requires managing a client pipeline, projecting revenue using a CRM, and possessing fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skills. A demonstrated track record of strategic sales and revenue growth in the digital video ecosystem is essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively, and be willing to take on additional opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years experience in selling TV, Video and Digital
  • Strong attention to detail and an excellent team player
  • Familiarity in using Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Willing to Travel
  • Fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter capable of flourishing in high-growth environments
  • Energy and passion for growing a digital video advertising business

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling across multiple advertising products
  • Experience working in OTT, display, video and data is a plus.
