About The Position

Our AI agents provide a human-like customer support experience that enables enterprises to better serve their customers and efficiently manage their customer experience organizations. Decagon is backed by Accel, a16z, A, Elad Gil, and notable angels including Aaron Levie (CEO, Box), Howie Liu (CEO, Airtable), Matt MacInnis (COO, Rippling), Aaref Hilaly (Partner, BCV), Mike Vernal (ex-Sequoia), Frederic Kerrest (Cofounder, Okta), Jack Altman (CEO, Lattice), and Ed Hallen (Cofounder, Klaviyo). We’re looking for a Director of Sales with a proven track record of driving sales growth in an early-stage startup environment. You will be responsible for leading our sales team to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and establish our company as the dominant player in the AI customer support space. The role is 100% in-person in San Francisco.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a top-performing Account Executive
2+ years in an AE management role
Ability to build sales playbooks and strategies
Experience implementing software tools to enable sales teams

Previous experience selling AI or customer support/experience software

Responsibilities

Develop and manage sales strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets, adapting quickly to market changes and learnings.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to align sales efforts with business objectives, creating a unified, agile approach to sales.
Manage and hire a world-class sales team.
Implement sales tools and infrastructure to enable the continued growth and success of the sales organization.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast sales opportunities to meet and exceed quota expectations.
