About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead our sales navigation team and ensure prospective clients have an exceptional experience from their first contact through engagement. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on client interaction, making it ideal for a proven sales professional who can coach team members, refine processes, and personally close deals in a fast-paced, client-centered environment. The Director of Sales is responsible for supervising the Client Navigators (Non-Attorney Salespeople) and Client Needs Specialists (Intake Specialists), conducting vision meetings with prospective new clients, tracking and reporting sales metrics, and continuously improving the firm's sales strategies and client experience. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, sales expertise, and the ability to lead by example while supporting the overall vision and mission of Jarvis Law Office, PC.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 8–10 years of proven high-level sales experience
  • Prior business-to-consumer (B2C) consultative sales experience required
  • At least 5 years of customer service experience, preferably in senior care or other direct care roles
  • 3–5 years of prior sales supervisory/management experience in legal, financial services, or product sales arenas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and motivate team members
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and build positive relationships across departments

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred but not required
  • Multi-location supervisory/management experience desired
  • Prior legal experience is ideal but not required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Client Navigators (NASPs) and Client Needs Specialists (Intake Specialists) in their day-to-day activities, providing constructive feedback to enhance effectiveness
  • Manage PTO requests and team coverage to ensure consistent service across all office locations based on business needs
  • Conduct performance conversations, including PIPs, monthly 1:1 meetings, and annual performance evaluations
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting new Client Navigators and Client Needs Specialists; provide hiring recommendations to HR
  • Partner with HR to address team member conduct, performance concerns, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Complete monthly 1:1 meetings with each direct report and shadow at least one meeting per team member monthly
  • Spot check at least one client file per direct report weekly to ensure quality and adherence to processes
  • Track and maintain sales metrics and KPIs, reporting them weekly and monthly to the CEO and COO
  • Actively participate in Leadership Meetings, contributing agenda items and completing assigned tasks
  • Facilitate vision meetings with prospective new clients (PNCs) to sell legal services and drive firm revenue
  • Review information from triage calls and financial information sheets to develop customized plan overviews and quotes
  • Meet with clients and their family members to review planning options, address concerns, and build trust
  • Follow up with PNCs who did not engage during initial meetings to re-engage them in the sales process
  • Utilize firm databases (ActionStep) to manage client files and maintain current, accurate notes and status updates
  • Ensure the overall quality of processes and workflow within the sales team
  • Assist the CEO and COO in creating and refining processes for the client experience throughout the sales journey
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to identify new methods for raising the firm's visibility and attracting clients
  • Partner with the firm's Owner, CEO, and COO on practice improvements, trends, and recommendations for enhanced client service
  • Ensure the Client Navigation team meets weekly and monthly KPIs, implementing corrective actions when targets are not achieved
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies and client satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the firm's objectives
