About The Position

Responsible for demonstrating and promoting SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule by treating others, including residents, families, and associates, in the same way we would like to be treated. This role involves the planning and development of all functions and programs of the sales department with minimal supervision and guidance from the executive director. The position requires preparing and implementing a quality action plan with approval from the chief marketing officer, conducting tours, initiating and responding to sales calls and prospect inquiries (including e-mails, Facebook questions, and website inquiries). The Director of Sales must demonstrate a positive attitude, apply concepts of excellence in customer service, and conduct duties in a positive and friendly manner. Excellent decision-making skills are essential, along with clear, accurate, and timely communication, and the ability to set and manage priorities. This role also involves monitoring expenditures weekly to ensure compliance with the department's budgeted monthly amounts and maintaining good interpersonal/communication skills with all employees and visitors. Planning and hosting special sales events, maintaining an up-to-date inquiry/lead database, and reviewing/updating the quarterly action plan are also key responsibilities. The Director of Sales is responsible for achieving all occupancy goals, visiting community areas daily to ensure they are clean, safe, and project the appropriate atmosphere, and reporting findings to the executive director. Additionally, this role handles all closings, processes appropriate move-in paperwork, and disperses it to the appropriate departments. Ensuring only approved designs are used in advertisements and marketing collaterals, responding promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance, and acting as essential personnel during emergencies are also part of the duties. Compliance with HIPAA regulations and practicing good body mechanics and safe working habits are required. The role encourages taking initiative, seeking additional information, and offering solutions/suggestions, as well as willingly taking on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and Yardi.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.
  • Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly.
