About The Position

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Inglewood is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Sales to launch its commercial strategy and lead its opening team. This is an exciting, career-defining opportunity for a hospitality sales professional who thrives on capturing market share, building relationships from scratch, and driving immediate revenue growth for a fresh property. The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales efforts, driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and developing business opportunities across all market segments. This role works closely with the General Manager and leadership team to achieve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and profitability goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hotel sales experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales, revenue management, forecasting, and business development.
  • Experience utilizing STR reports and market share analysis.
  • Knowledge of Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, RGI, and MPI metrics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).

Nice To Haves

  • Director of Sales leadership experience.
  • Experience with Choice Hotels or other major hotel brands.
  • Experience with Delphi, Cvent, Knowland, Agency360, and OTA extranets.
  • Established relationships within the Los Angeles, Calabasas, Malibu, Woodland Hills, and Ventura County markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Prospect, solicit, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
  • Grow corporate, group, entertainment, sports, SMERF, social, and local negotiated business.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, site tours, and client meetings.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and client relationships.
  • Utilize STR reports to analyze hotel performance and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, RGI, MPI, pace, and forecast trends.
  • Participate in weekly revenue strategy meetings and develop action plans to drive results.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to maximize pricing and inventory opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow key client relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure timely follow-up on leads and proposals.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Event Services to ensure successful group execution.
  • Serve as a member of the hotel leadership team and contribute to overall business strategy.
  • Manage RFPs, forecasts, sales reports, contracts, and CRM activity.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and account production reporting.
  • Track performance against established revenue goals.
