About The Position

The Director of Sales, Industrial Division drives profitable revenue growth by developing and executing sales strategy, building a strong pipeline of new business, and leading the sales organization to consistently achieve quota and margin targets. This role oversees sales operations and enabling technology (including CRM) to improve execution, forecasting accuracy, and productivity, while using data and market/competitive insights to identify opportunities, refine pricing and go-to-market tactics, and expand market presence. The Director strengthens and retains key customer and channel partner relationships, collaborates cross-functionally with marketing, product support, customer service, operations, and finance to ensure seamless order-to-cash communication, and represents the division at industry events. This position champions best practices, continuous improvement, and compliance with the Crown Quality System, while coaching and motivating the team to deliver a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Industrial sales environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Battery sales or material handling markets
  • 4- year Marketing or business related degree
  • Safety and Environmental training
  • Managerial experience
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using an ERP System and CRM System

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new clients and expand the customer base, ensuring a consistent sales pipeline
  • Manage CRM systems and sales technology to optimize workflows, data reporting, and productivity
  • Establish, monitor, and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, ensuring profitability
  • Review sales statistics and CRM data to accurately project sales volume, track performance indicators, and determine inventory needs, product needs, or other such items to improve sales revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting partnerships with high-value customers and channel partners to ensure retention and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to adjust pricing and sales strategies accordingly.
  • Partner with marketing, product support, and other department leaders to align sales initiatives with overall company branding, service, and product launches.
  • Provide critical input to ensure the company and division leadership is providing the necessary mentoring, management, motivation, and support for sales managers and representatives.
  • Collaborate with other divisional leaders to create comprehensive sales plans, tactics, and action plans to achieve, and exceed, annual company revenue targets
  • Responsible for working closely with Crown Battery customer service, product support, and other office administration on orders, credit, and accounting to keep all channels of communication well maintained.
  • Assist with and attend various trade shows. Keep up with current industry related information, particularly battery technology.
  • Promote best practices for consistency in sales processes, forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Make recommendations to improve overall sales and company operations.
  • Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
