About The Position

The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Director of Sales - Retirement Solutions to join their team. This role involves partnering with local intermediaries throughout Greater Los Angeles (Downtown, Westside, Valley, and South Bay) to position their products as the ultimate solution for the client. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
  • 2+ years of retirement sales experience with deep knowledge on retirement products.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Excellent consultation and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, capital markets, and financial service products.
  • Licenses Required within 5 months of employment: Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63).
  • Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained.
  • No candidates that need any type of immigration sponsorship now or in the future or those needing work authorization for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with non-qualified plans, defined benefit and ESOP’s a bonus!

Responsibilities

  • Drive retirement plan sales throughout the market by calling on advisors to promote the sale of defined contribution and defined benefit products targeted for retirement plans in the 0 - 10M AUM or 0-25 AUM space for the right experience.
  • Build and establish relationships with financial advisors and third party administrators.
  • Collaborate with the relationship management team to pursue additional sales opportunities.
