About The Position

Westmoreland Country Club, a Troon property, is seeking a driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead prospecting, sales, and onboarding activities. This role is crucial for the club's success, requiring the individual to meet sales goals, lead the marketing and communications team, and foster a culture of hospitality. The position involves developing and executing marketing strategies, creating sales materials, managing digital marketing, conducting market analysis, and maintaining strong relationships with members, prospects, and the Troon corporate team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in private club or semi-private club sales and marketing. High-end hospitality experience in a sales role or similar may also be considered.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Physically able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Able to conduct walking tours of the property.
  • Plays golf and has a knowledgeable understanding of the game.
  • Ability to study, analyze, and interpret complex activities and/or information to improve new practices or develop new approaches.
  • Proficient in the use of a CRM tool, CMS, and website management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Knowledge of Canva and social scheduling tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed stated sales, revenue, and retention goals.
  • Lead and direct the marketing, membership, and communications team and overall strategy.
  • Develop and execute marketing tactics and strategy to enhance brand awareness and communicate the membership marketing and sales plan.
  • Drive content development and production of all membership-related materials, including prospecting, sales, and member communications, website, social media, sales kits, and onboarding documents.
  • Create and execute digital marketing and advertising in accordance with the budgeted plan.
  • Conduct marketing activities such as competitor analysis, new homeowner programming, community networking, Realtor relations, and participation in member events.
  • Integrate with the Membership Committee, reporting, tracking, and communicating results and data.
  • Manage a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Membership Prospect/Sales Report, providing weekly statistics on leads, pipeline, sales, and prospect feedback.
  • Lead and implement a sales journey to connect potential new members using current member Ambassadors.
  • Oversee all membership paperwork related to sales, upgrades, downgrades, and resignations, including creating new member files and maintaining member records.
  • Lead the content, production, and delivery of new member onboarding, ensuring a structured process, professional presentation, and comprehensive understanding of the club's offerings.
  • Actively contribute to staff meetings and communicate information to help associates understand membership goals, policy changes, and member activities.
