About The Position

As the home of World Poker Tour, one of the most recognized brands in gaming and entertainment, we are expanding our global reach across media, partnerships, and audience growth initiatives. We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven Director of Sales, Distribution & Partnerships to lead revenue growth across media distribution, advertising sales, and strategic partnerships for the World Poker Tour brand. The Director of Sales, Distribution & Partnerships will own and execute sales strategy across streaming, digital media, licensing, sponsorship, and advertising channels. This individual will identify new revenue opportunities, grow key relationships, and lead commercial negotiations that expand the reach and monetization of World Poker Tour content and experiences. This role requires a highly proactive operator who can work independently, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and build partnerships across agencies, brands, media platforms, and distribution partners. You will partner closely with executive leadership, marketing, product, analytics, and operations teams to drive measurable business impact. This is a hybrid role based out of a World Poker Tour designated office.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in media sales, ad sales, partnerships, or business development with strong knowledge of OTT/streaming ecosystems, monetization models, and programmatic advertising.
  • 2+ years of agency or client-facing sales experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience working with entertainment, gaming, sports, QSR, automotive, or adjacent consumer brands preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OTT licensing, content distribution, and revenue models.
  • Proven experience owning and closing strategic partnerships or media sales deals.
  • Existing relationships with major agencies, holding companies, and media buyers strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communicator, presenter, and storyteller with strong executive presence.
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial instincts.
  • Analytical thinker who can translate data into business recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of multi-screen attribution, customer insights, and campaign management.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborative team player who gives and receives feedback well.
  • Creative problem solver with a bias toward action.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • Experience with CRM systems, reporting tools, and sales pipeline management.

  • PowerBI and Adobe Creative Cloud experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for advertising, sponsorship, distribution, and licensing opportunities across World Poker Tour properties.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of agency, brand, platform, and media partner opportunities.
  • Own end-to-end deal cycles including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, closing, and renewal strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships across streaming, OTT, FAST, digital, and traditional channels.
  • Identify and secure new content distribution opportunities across linear, digital, OTT, and emerging platforms.
  • Lead account planning and relationship management for key media and distribution partners.
  • Structure and negotiate licensing, media rights, and monetization agreements.
  • Research partner priorities, roadmaps, and market trends to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with major agencies, holding companies, and direct brand clients.
  • Present integrated solutions that align client objectives with audience growth, engagement, and ROI.
  • Lead campaign planning and execution in partnership with internal marketing and operations teams.
  • Ensure a best-in-class client experience from pitch through delivery and renewal.
  • Deliver accurate revenue forecasting, pipeline reporting, and business performance updates.
  • Use metrics, attribution data, and customer insights to optimize campaigns and tell compelling performance stories.
  • Track promotional initiatives, tentpole events, and marketing programs tied to revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with creative, product, marketing, finance, legal, and operations teams to bring deals to life.
  • Handle ad hoc opportunities and executive priorities with urgency and strong follow-through.
  • Build scalable sales processes, tools, and materials to support long-term growth.
