Compensation for this role is $130,000- $160,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set. As a Director, Safety at RXO, you will manage the safety organization and the safety administration team for all of Dedicated Transportation. Your focus will be providing the direction to improve safety metrics for the business while working closely with terminals and drivers to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and RXO safety standards. Requirements

  • 7 Years’ related experience developing and managing corporate safety programs in a leadership role
  • Experience with FMCSA and OSHA regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations
  • Solid ability to address and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations to create and uphold safety policies
  • Provide daily leadership for the team, including performance management and mentoring
  • Evaluate and select third-party partners that best support RXO’s safety goals
  • Create and measure KPIs to ensure goals are being met; implement countermeasures to improve performance
  • Work creatively with safety peers to benchmark and drive consistent policies across business units
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, directing work and resolving issues
