About The Position

The Director of Ryan White and HOPWA Services is responsible for general oversight and of all Ryan White HIV/AIDS program (RWHAP) services, to include clinical services, social services, case management, fiscal management, administrative and support services at Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work or Counseling required
At least 5 years of experience in case management/direct services in a human services setting working with Patients Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) required
At least 2 years of case management/supervisory experience in a human services setting working with PLWHA required
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS disease processes required
Experience managing federal or state grants required

Responsibilities

Provide oversight of all administrative functions of the Ryan White and HOPWA program at Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, grant recipient of the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the South Carolina Department of Public Health (SC DPH) under the provisions of Ryan White programs (Parts B, C & D)
Responsible for coordinating Ryan White efforts across all clinical and ancillary service lines
Primary point of contact for State and Federal audits/site visits and participates in the preparation for program assessments, performed by State and Federal regulatory agencies
Ensure necessary data tracking mechanisms are utilized for monitoring program outcomes and completes monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports per funding requirements
Monitor all Ryan White Program expenditures in collaboration with the finance department, ensuring proper reporting processes and reconciliations with Ryan White grant program requirements
Create program expenditure plans for State, Federal, and rebate funding; works with program staff to monitor program expenditures to assure compliance with requirements
Aid in the preparation of all grant related applications, i.e. provide assistance with other grant proposals and develop budget and budget narratives to support requests
Lead the clinical team in providing current, best practice care for HIV/AIDS patients across the full spectrum of care, from PrEP to ongoing management of care
Monitor the implementation of standard operating procedures and protocol manuals for staff, to ensure effective delivery of care services
Create and/or update policies and procedures as needed
Supervise Ryan White Staff
Coordinate outreach events directed toward HIV/STI prevention and treatment
Represent the organization at State and Federal required meetings/conferences and regularly communicates with federal project officer and state contract managers to ensure program expectations are met
Maintain compliance with legislative and programmatic requirements of the RWHAP Program Part C Early Intervention Services (EIS).
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Directly supervises 3-4 employees within the Ryan White Services department.
Indirectly supervises employees working with STI prevention and treatment
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
