Director of Revenue Systems & Architecture

Interplay LearningRemote (TX, US), TX
$140,000 - $170,000Remote

About The Position

The Director of Revenue Systems & Architecture is the technical architect and builder of Interplay Learning's revenue systems (sales, customer success, marketing). This role owns the design, development, and lifecycle of the Salesforce ecosystem and adjacent GTM platforms, the underlying data architecture that powers reporting and automation, and the adoption of AI tools that make the revenue engine faster and more self-sufficient. Reporting to the CFO, this leader is the hands-on technical owner who turns business requirements into scalable, well-engineered systems. In this role you will manage a small team. This is a builder-and-operator role first: strong candidates will spend the majority of their time in systems architecture, configuration, integration, and data modeling. Broader RevOps competencies — sales/CS process design, executive-level business partnership, and cross-functional strategy — remain valuable and will still come up day to day, but they are secondary to technical depth and are treated as a strong plus rather than a core requirement. This is a fully remote position. Preference will be given to candidates based in the Austin, TX area or within a reasonable driving distance for occasional in-person meetings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, systems engineering, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or Business Systems.
  • Proven experience owning the full systems development lifecycle—from solution design through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce architecture, configuration, integrations, data modeling, and system governance.
  • Hands-on experience implementing AI-powered tools, workflow automation, and modern GTM technologies.
  • Experience with Salesforce and the broader revenue tech stack; Salesforce certifications strongly preferred. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting PE- or venture-backed SaaS companies, ideally in the $50M–$150M revenue range.
  • Understanding of subscription, usage-based, transactional, and professional services revenue models.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without stipulations and be residents of the United States.
  • Following the offer of employment, all roles will require a background check and a drug and alcohol test. Some positions may require other verifications, such as, driver eligibility and record, credentials or education. All new hires will be required to complete the I-9 Form and E-verify process upon employment.
