Manages the operational, financial, personnel activities, and clinical aspects of Respiratory Care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program
• Associate in respiratory care or health science
• 2 years respiratory care experience
• 2 years managerial experience
• RCP or equivalent State licensure
• RRT
• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NRP

• Bachelor's in Health Care Management

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets
• Directs daily operations of assigned departments
• Directs staff
• Achieves ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies
• Selects personnel for hire and promotion
• Takes appropriate actions regarding counseling, disciplinary actions, demotion and termination
• Develops and implements quality assurance programs for department
