About The Position

Ultimate Therapy is seeking an experienced Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed rehabilitation professional who is passionate about building high-performing teams, driving clinical excellence, and delivering outstanding resident outcomes in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting. As the Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the therapy department while fostering a collaborative, resident-focused environment.

Requirements

Active New Jersey license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) required
Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building skills
Commitment to delivering high-quality, resident-centered rehabilitation services

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation setting preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Direct the daily operations of the rehabilitation department
Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and therapy service delivery
Monitor department productivity, clinical outcomes, and documentation compliance
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility regulations
Partner with nursing leadership, physicians, case management, and facility administration to promote interdisciplinary care
Mentor and develop rehabilitation staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture
Support quality improvement initiatives and resident satisfaction
