About The Position

The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality rehabilitative services. This role ensures that all rehabilitation programs meet clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and patient-centered goals, while fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. The position involves a combination of clinical and administrative duties, with a focus on strategic leadership, team management, clinical oversight, interdisciplinary collaboration, and program development. The company has over 25 years of experience as a leading skilled healthcare provider, is therapist- and veteran-owned, and focuses on industry-leading, patient-centered care with a supportive, collaborative team culture. They emphasize a one-on-one therapy focus, with group/concurrent treatments under 1%, and realistic scheduling to support work-life balance, along with a strong emphasis on clinical outcomes and job satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Current state licensure in one of the following disciplines: PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, healthcare regulations, and reimbursement models.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Licensed PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA/OTA.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in long-term care.
  • Ability to manage compliance and productivity metrics.
  • Ability to perform occasional resident assessments and treatment as needed.
  • Sit, stand, and move between therapy areas and resident rooms.
  • Lift/carry up to 25 lbs; occasional assistance with transfers if providing direct care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.
  • Train and supervise rehabilitation staff, including therapists and support personnel.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to promote professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and HIPAA.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care through evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement.
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between rehabilitation services and other departments.
  • Introduce innovative therapies and technologies to enhance patient recovery.
  • Lead community outreach and education initiatives related to rehabilitation services.
