About The Position

With over four decades of service, Powerback operates in skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care, delivering personalized care where and when it's needed. The Director of Rehabilitation leads a team of compassionate clinicians, overseeing all rehabilitation services within their facility. This role involves supporting the team through direct patient care, ensuring the highest standards of rehabilitation services, and acting as a teacher, healer, and helper. The Director is responsible for fostering collaboration, making necessary referrals, and mentoring the clinical team to design, implement, and execute programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' abilities. Adaptability and a patient-first approach are key to this role, finding joy in the variety of work and settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology)
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve appropriately
  • Thorough knowledge of all state practice acts
  • Ability to positively interact with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
  • Ability to effectively manage/motivate staff
