They ensure effective integration of the department and develop an operations plan that complements the organization's continuous performance improvement and quality patient care delivery plans. The Director of Physical Therapy specifically leads and manages the Physical Therapy Department within a hospital setting, focusing on exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, and compliance with healthcare standards. This includes overseeing inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services, managing a multidisciplinary team, and collaborating with other hospital departments for integrated, patient-centered care.
