About The Position

Currently looking for a Director of Rehabilitation to join our team. The selected individual for this position will receive a competitive based salary and excellent employee benefits! Pay will be determined based on experience and licensure. We are considering Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists for this role at this time. Our facility serves patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. Requirements

• Must be a licensed PT or OT (Pay is dependent on level of licensure and leadership experience)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position in skilled nursing facility, preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining compassion
• Must be self-motivated and have excellent follow-through
• Have the ability to multi task and keep a calm demeanor even in chaotic situations
• Must be able to maintain confidential information
• Be a champion of positivity and high morale
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position in skilled nursing facility

Responsibilities

• Ensures rehab department is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
• Ensures patients records and reports are maintained up to federal, state, local and Company’s regulations
• Provides education and training for PT, OT and SLP staff on the facility’s related policies and procedures
• Manages the rehab department and staffing within the budget
• Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator and HR as required concerning the operation of the rehab department
• Coordinates and participates in care plan meetings
• Handles complaints/issues in a timely manner
• Performs administrative duties as required by the position
• Monitor the facility’s survey reports and assist in developing plans of action to correct potential or identified problem areas
• Responsible for, in conjunction with HR, the recruitment and selection of Rehab Staff
