About The Position
The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the rehabilitation department in a specific skilled nursing facility in order to best meet patient’s/resident’s needs, facility’s operational objectives and federal and state regulations.
Requirements
- Two (2) years experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist Assistant or Speech-Language Pathologist with a valid license to practice in the state that facility is located in
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and be able to learn new programs and applications.
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.
- Must have effective time management, customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Reliable transportation required
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in personnel management preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides discipline specific rehabilitation services and manages the operations of the Rehabilitation Services Department which includes therapist recruitment, patient/resident scheduling, quality assurance, staff training and development, operational performance, customer satisfaction, program analysis, regulatory compliance and business development.
- Communicates regularly and effectively with all facility stakeholders to ensure the provision of high quality care and the collaborative accomplishment of objectives.
