Prava Therapy is seeking an exceptional Physical Therapist to serve as Director of Rehabilitation in a premier senior living community in Wilmington, NC. This leadership role is for a clinician who wants to make a bigger impact without stepping away from therapy. The Director will shape the therapy program, setting the standard for great therapy, building trust with residents and families, developing their team, partnering with community leadership, and creating a valued therapy program. The role emphasizes embedding therapy into the community life, focusing on residents' ability to continue doing the things that make life theirs, rather than just clinical metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical and day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation program.
  • Maintain an active clinical presence while providing leadership, mentorship, and support to the therapy team.
  • Build a culture where clinical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and resident experience are non-negotiable.
  • Develop strong relationships with community leadership, nursing, wellness, life enrichment, caregivers, residents, and families.
  • Orient and integrate new clinicians into the community and Prava's clinical and operational standards.
  • Coach therapists in clinical reasoning, documentation, communication, resident engagement, and functional outcomes.
  • Ensure therapy is connected to meaningful goals—not simply impairments, exercises, or minutes.
  • Identify changes in resident function and opportunities for early intervention.
  • Partner with the interdisciplinary team to support residents across the continuum of care.
  • Help caregivers and community staff understand how therapy can support safety, independence, mobility, and participation.
  • Monitor clinical quality, documentation, outcomes, scheduling, caseload trends, and program performance.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow the rehabilitation program.
  • Create visibility for therapy throughout the community.
  • Represent Prava as a trusted clinical partner—not an outside vendor.
  • Set the tone for a therapy team that is curious, compassionate, clinically strong, and relentlessly focused on the resident.
