About The Position

The Office of the Missouri Attorney General is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Human Resources leader to oversee and enhance professional recruitment, talent development, and teammate recognition. The role helps attract legal and professional talent, strengthens the agency’s salary and rewards framework, coordinates performance evaluation processes, and ensures consistent implementation of HR policies for professional teammates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent education and professional experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in recruitment, compensation, performance evaluations, and HR policy administration.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with teammates at all levels.
• Commitment to fostering professionalism, fairness, and continuous development across the agency.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for attorneys, paralegals, and professional staff, including job postings, candidate outreach, screening, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
• Advise agency leadership on hiring strategies, workforce planning, and talent-market trends.
• Administer and maintain the agency’s salary structure and compensation practices to promote fairness, consistency, and competitiveness.
• Coordinate the attorney and paralegal performance evaluation program, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with professional development goals.
• Develop and implement talent-development initiatives, including training, mentoring, and career-growth resources.
• Oversee rewards and recognition efforts to support a culture that celebrates excellence, collaboration, and public-service commitment.
• Ensure consistent and compliant application of HR policies and procedures across professional roles within the office.
