About The Position

A facility near Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a full-time Director of Quality and Risk to their team. This position is eligible for quarterly bonuses based on performance. The Director of Quality and Risk will lead hospital-wide quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to federal, state, accreditation, and organizational standards. They will oversee accreditation readiness, policy development, performance improvement programs, and data analysis through quality and patient experience platforms to drive operational excellence. The Director of Quality and Risk will partner with department leaders to enhance patient care, resolve concerns, manage risk-related activities, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and employee recognition.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience in Risk Management, Quality Management, Patient Safety, or Performance Improvement within a healthcare setting.
Experience with State, Joint Commission, and/or CARF surveys.
Hands-on facility-level leadership experience working directly with staff, patients, and department leaders is required.

Nice To Haves

LEAN/Six Sigma training or certification (Yellow, Green, or Black Belt) preferred.
