About The Position

Seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Property Claims with strong leadership abilities and a proven track record of success in claims management. The Director will oversee and manage all aspects of property claims operations, ensuring fair, efficient, and timely claim resolution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in claims management
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within property claims
  • Comprehensive knowledge of property insurance policies, claims processes, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and engage a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and other relevant technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or CPCU designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership for property claims operations, driving best practices and aligning strategies with overall company goals.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of claims professionals to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex property claims, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal standards, and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as underwriting, legal, and risk management, to mitigate risks and improve overall performance.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to enhance claims handling processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate new technologies and processes, leveraging innovation to increase operational efficiency and improve outcomes.
  • Act as the primary liaison in overseeing escalated claims, ensuring effective resolution and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, adjusters, and other partners for effective claims handling.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership, detailing trends, progress toward objectives, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, laws, and regulations to ensure the company remains at the forefront of claims management excellence.
