About The Position

The Director of Product will own product strategy, roadmap, and definition for airSlate’s AI Labs product line, including BizDraft, Ordinum, BizPulse, and future products. The role is intended to take AI Labs from proving its AI-native product model to building a standalone business targeting $20–50 million in new revenue over two to three years. The Director will lead a small group of Product Owners and work closely with AI Labs engineering leadership, which owns the build team, as well as a small go-to-market team.

The Director will scale BizDraft after launch, guide Ordinum and BizPulse toward launch decisions, identify and prioritize additional product opportunities, and build products based on customer and market feedback. The role also involves developing an understanding of airSlate’s existing products and customers to identify use cases for AI Labs or opportunities better suited to existing products. The Director will partner on product requirements, engineering trade-offs, positioning, go-to-market planning, and launches; determine when proven internal AI systems should be handed off to functional owners; and report progress to the executive team and board.

Requirements

• Experience building products from 0 to 1 within a larger company.
• Experience shipping AI-native products end to end, or transformative standalone features or modules on existing products, with proven adoption success.
• Strong fluency in AI-assisted build workflows, such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, and understanding of their implications for team structure, ratios, and product definition.
• Ability to drive product outcomes through precision and influence without directly managing an engineering team.
• Commercial mindset and ability to partner closely with marketing and product marketing on positioning and go-to-market.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach and ability to earn credibility with engineering leadership and peers.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy and roadmap for AI Labs, targeting $20–50 million in new AI-native revenue over two to three years.
• Scale BizDraft after launch and guide Ordinum and BizPulse through go/no-go launch decisions.
• Identify, size, and prioritize two to five additional high-potential projects based on customer needs and airSlate’s potential competitive advantage.
• Hire and lead a small team of AI-native, 0-to-1 Product Owners who build prioritized products and develop them based on customer and market feedback.
• Develop an understanding of airSlate’s existing products and customers to surface AI Labs opportunities, including use cases that may be better delivered as features in existing products.
• Define product requirements and priorities with the precision required for AI-driven execution.
• Partner with AI Labs’ engineering lead on sequencing and trade-offs; the engineering team does not report to this role.
• Decide which proven internal AI systems should be handed off to functional owners and which should remain in AI Labs.
• Partner with the AI Labs go-to-market team on positioning, go-to-market planning, and product launch execution.
• Represent AI Labs product progress to the executive team and board.
