About The Position

PTC is seeking a seasoned product marketing professional with deep expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to join their PLM product marketing team. This role will drive strategic messaging, positioning, and go-to-market execution for key areas of PTC's PLM portfolio. The individual will also collaborate with teammates to develop cross-portfolio solution stories that connect PLM to PTC’s broader technology ecosystem. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who combines deep PLM domain expertise with strategic marketing instincts to influence how enterprise buyers evaluate, adopt, and expand their use of PLM technology, embracing emerging tools and approaches like AI. PTC's PLM portfolio, anchored by Windchill and including cloud, SaaS, and AI-driven capabilities, is central to how complex manufacturers manage the digital thread. The market is rapidly evolving with AI, SaaS transformation, and the convergence of engineering disciplines, requiring marketers who can articulate PLM's future and PTC's leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or GTM strategy roles within B2B enterprise software — with significant depth in PLM, engineering software, or adjacent manufacturing technology domains.
  • Deep PLM domain expertise. Understanding of the PLM landscape — the technology, the buyers, the competitive dynamics, and the industry workflows.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic messaging and positioning that differentiates in competitive enterprise markets.
  • Experience with portfolio-level and solution-level marketing — crafting integrated solution stories that connect across a technology portfolio.
  • Track record of influencing without authority — partnering with product leaders, sales executives, and senior marketers to drive alignment and outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable synthesizing market data, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and business metrics into actionable marketing strategy.
  • Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and visual.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and generative AI tools to accelerate product marketing workflows.
  • Experience marketing cloud/SaaS transformation of traditionally on-premise enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with adjacent technology domains — CAD, ALM, Simulation, IoT, SLM — and how they intersect with PLM.
  • Background in one or more target industries: Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Equipment, Medical Devices, Electronics & High-Tech.
  • Experience with analyst relations (Gartner, IDC, Forrester) and competitive benchmarking frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with PLM platforms (Windchill, Teamcenter, Enovia, Arena, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Develop differentiated messaging and positioning for key areas of PTC’s PLM portfolio that resonate with engineering leaders, IT decision-makers, and C-suite executives across target industries.
  • Collaborate with product marketing teammates to build cross-portfolio solution narratives that articulate the value of PLM in the context of PTC’s broader technology ecosystem.
  • Drive GTM strategy and execution for PLM product launches, feature releases, and platform milestones within focus areas.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing and Demand Generation to develop campaign strategies that drive pipeline acceleration and customer engagement.
  • Conduct deep competitive analysis and market research to inform positioning, identify whitespace opportunities, and equip the organization with actionable intelligence.
  • Serve as a key PLM market expert within PTC — engaging with analysts, press, and industry influencers to strengthen PTC’s market position.
  • Design and deliver high-impact sales enablement materials — battle cards, solution guides, competitive comparisons, and presentation assets.
  • Develop buyer personas, buying journey maps, and customer proof points that accelerate deal velocity and improve win rates.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap capabilities into market-facing value propositions and ensure customer and market insights flow back into product strategy.
  • Work closely with Industry Advisors, Solutions Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure PLM narratives are grounded in real-world customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow product marketers on the PLM team and across the portfolio to ensure consistency, share best practices, and deliver cohesive messaging.
