About The Position

Refreshed Tech is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead the strategy and execution of acquiring devices (laptops, desktops, tablets, and related IT assets) for their ITAD refurbishment and resale operation. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, responsible for supplier relationships, pricing strategy, volume targets, and developing a procurement team to support aggressive growth. The role involves buying and building the people, processes, and partnerships necessary for superior procurement in the ITAD space.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years in procurement, supply chain, asset acquisition, or sourcing.
3+ years of experience leading people.
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing procurement teams in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to set a high bar and inspire teams.
Competitive and driven mindset, uncomfortable with the status quo.
Ability to develop people, provide direct feedback, and teach.
Operator-minded with comfort in spreadsheets, supplier meetings, and warehouse environments.
Strong negotiation skills: confident, prepared, and disciplined.
Analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and explain strategies.

Nice To Haves

ITAD, IT hardware, electronics, or refurbishment industry experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the device pipeline by developing and executing a procurement strategy to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly device acquisition targets.
Build and lead the procurement team by hiring, coaching, and developing staff, setting clear expectations, and fostering an environment for growth.
Source new supply channels, including corporate IT refresh programs, lessors, brokers, MSPs, and direct enterprise relationships, and convert them into recurring volume.
Lead pricing, terms, and contract negotiations with a focus on protecting margin without sacrificing supplier relationships or volume.
Utilize data and build dashboards to make decisions regarding cost-per-unit, channel performance, grade mix, turn time, and supplier scorecards.
Partner with operations and finance to forecast and plan incoming volume, aligning it with refurbishment capacity and resale demand.
Improve procurement processes, including intake, grading handoffs, and supplier onboarding, to enhance speed and margin.
Represent Refreshed Tech as the senior procurement face to suppliers, partners, and at industry events.
