Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • At least seven years of experience of working with procurement/purchasing preferably in manufacturing industry
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent management and people leading skills
  • Analytical, structured and process-oriented with attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally
  • Good judgement and decision making and working with integrity
  • Excellent documentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and work cross functionally
  • Proactive and self-driven
  • Ability to travel national required

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with suppliers of non-metal supply to achieve the best overall terms in terms of cost, security of supply, quality as well as other conditions
  • Lead and to contribute to the implementation of the strategic and tactic objectives for the purchasing.
  • Work close with each of the plants to identify the underlying need and requirements in terms of supply
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with external suppliers and service providers
  • Maintain supplier database and related documentation.
  • Lead and manage the purchasing team located at the Huntingdon production facility.
  • Work closely with and support when needed the purchasing at the Salisbury and the Newport production facilities in the daily execution of purchase orders under framework agreements
  • Maintains and track the expenditures of the purchased items regularly for each plant and work actively to identify cost related purchasing savings together with each of the plant managers and the operations at the respective plants
  • Support in the budget and forecast of future cost development for the various supply items
  • Support in the process and audit to verify that the suppliers are in line with the Gränges Supplier Code of Conduct.
