About The Position

The Director of Procurement, Center of Excellence is responsible for developing category strategies in support of our regional offices sourcing everything from switchgear and lighting packages to raw copper and conduit. You’ll transform our procurement team from a series of local transactions into a national strategic advantage. This leader is the driving force for creating standards for our ‘go-to-market’ strategies and overall management our supplier KPI’s and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) to continually drive for efficiencies and cost reductions on behalf of our operating units and our customers. The CoE team should act as an incubator that nurtures, cultivates and develops high performers who then feed into the supply chain organization., ‘upskilling’ and training the broader team to build our bench strength for succession planning.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience specifically in procurement, contract management, project management or related role
  • Demonstrates leadership and ability to work well with others, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Rosendin staff and vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience developing procurement strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing negotiation of contracts with suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) via contracts or Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), and addressing any performance gaps.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, and managing overall accountability for team-based deliverables, deadlines, and quality thresholds.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) Certification or Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate spend across all regions to leverage our national scale with major manufacturers and distributors.
  • Expand and monitor supplier relationships that allow us to optimize supplier incentive programs that support our margin growth moving forward.
  • Develop strategies to manage price volatility in copper, aluminum, and steel to protect project margins.
  • Manage a rigorous supplier qualification process for specialty vendors/manufacturers to ensure they meet our safety, quality, and financial viability standards
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with our tier 1 suppliers to minimize disruptions and maintain open communication during turbulent market conditions.
  • Implement KPI’s and quarterly business reviews for national distributors focusing on ‘on-time, in-full’ delivery to job sites.
  • Monitor Supplier Market Intelligence to inform the broader procurement team on potential supply chain risks that could impact our operational performance.
  • Lead training initiatives across the procurement operations group to continue to mature and elevate our skillsets in supporting operations.
  • Oversee our Procurement tech stack to streamline the operational efficiencies gained through better data and tools in procurement execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
