About The Position

Logan Services is seeking an experienced Director of Plumbing Operations to lead its rapidly growing residential plumbing and sewer & drain division. This role offers the opportunity to build, lead, and scale a business, overseeing operations across multiple markets, developing managers and field leaders, owning the division's P&L, driving profitability and customer satisfaction, and establishing the systems and team for continued growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced residential plumbing operations leader skilled in building high-performing teams, improving operational performance, growing revenue, and executing strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential plumbing operations.
  • Proven experience leading plumbing managers, supervisors, and field service teams.
  • Experience managing a multi-million-dollar operation with full P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue while improving profitability and operational performance.
  • Strong experience recruiting, coaching, developing, and retaining leaders.
  • Proven ability to build accountability and high-performing teams.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and act on financial and operational data.
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential plumbing service, installation, water heater, water quality, and sewer & drain operations.
  • Oversee field operations, workforce planning, scheduling, and operational efficiency across multiple markets.
  • Develop scalable processes and systems that support continued growth.
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop solutions that improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure teams have the tools, resources, and support needed to perform at a high level.
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the Plumbing Division.
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, labor efficiency, and gross margin performance.
  • Develop and implement pricing and operational strategies that improve financial results.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Analyze business performance and quickly turn data into action.
  • Develop and execute plans to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing employees.
  • Build leadership succession plans and career development pathways.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach leaders to effectively manage performance and develop their teams.
  • Identify future leaders and create opportunities for them to grow.
  • Partner with HR and Learning & Development to strengthen leadership and workforce development.
  • Ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from the initial contact through job completion.
  • Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and online reputation.
  • Reduce callbacks and improve quality of workmanship.
  • Partner with customer service, sales, and operations teams to create a consistent customer experience.
  • Use customer feedback and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute one-year and three-year strategic growth plans for the Plumbing Division.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market share across existing and new service areas.
  • Partner with executive leadership on business planning and long-term strategy.
  • Evaluate new technologies, services, processes, and business opportunities.
  • Build the infrastructure and leadership team necessary to support rapid growth.
  • Help position Logan Services as a leading residential plumbing and sewer & drain provider in our markets.
  • Support apprenticeship and technical training programs.
  • Partner with Recruiting and Learning & Development to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Create development opportunities that help technicians progress into leadership roles.
  • Ensure field teams receive the technical, operational, and leadership training they need to succeed.
  • Build a culture where employees understand how they can grow their careers within the organization.
