About The Position

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Player Personnel for the Men’s Ice Hockey program under the general supervision of the Head Coach. This position will focus on the operational aspects of the Development of Individual Players of the Men’s Ice Hockey program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of relevant experience (if filled as Athletic Operations Specialist - Advanced Professional)
• 1+ years of relevant experience (if filled as Athletic Operations Specialist - Intermediate Professional)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Catapult is desirable

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach on all player personnel issues
• Oversee individual player video, individual analytics, and individual player developmental plans
• Assist Director of Operations to coordinate with the Pegula Staff and Morgan Academic Center staff regarding all scheduling needs for athletes and facilities
• Assist in hiring and management of student managers
• Assist in events management, schedule non-conference and tournament games, act as a liaison to conference and other departments within Penn State Athletics including the Office of Compliance
• Compile and organize individual player stats and analytics
• Coordinate summer camp
• Assist in coordination of team community service activities
• Coordination of official and unofficial recruiting visits
• Organize all aspects of video content from practices and games; provide analytics and analysis of the information captured from video; provide coaches and athletes with clips and other information as needed to fully utilize video package; familiarity with Catapult is desirable
• Assist with alumni relations, development and the Friends of Penn State Men’s Hockey, as needed, and directed by the head coach
