About The Position

The Assistant Coach, Men's Ice Hockey will instruct and teach athletes in the fundamentals of ice hockey, coaching technique and strategy. This role assists in the selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations. The Assistant Coach also aids the head coach in coordinating administrative areas of program management, including scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, and equipment. Additionally, this position monitors the academic progress of student athletes, audits information from academic support services, and ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Prior hockey coaching experience, preferably at the intercollegiate level required.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Ability to travel extensively during recruiting process required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience working with NCAA rules and regulations desired.
• Master's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
