About The Position
The Director of Plant Operations directs and administers work related to the hospital’s physical plant and ancillary systems, including Engineering, Grounds, EVS, Security, and Safety. The role manages construction and remodeling projects as directed by organizational leadership and serves as the liaison between the Medical Center and contracted personnel or vendors performing facilities-related work. The Director is expected to present a positive image of the hospital to patients, visitors, physicians, and the public.
Requirements
- Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, hazardous material, and safety management experience.
- Management experience.
- Experience managing or supervising facilities-related departments, including EVS, Security, Grounds, and Biomed.
- Knowledge of hospital-associated codes.
- Knowledge of facility buildings, equipment, and utilities.
- Valid state driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 3 years of hospital experience in Plant Operations.
- College degree in an Engineering field.
