The Director of Philanthropy is a frontline fundraising professional responsible for the management of a mid-size portfolio of prospects comprised of alumni, parents, and friends associated with the College of Pyschology and Liberal Arts with capacity and inclination to make major gifts to Florida Tech. Prospect management includes discovery and qualification of new prospects, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors, with a strong focus on cultivating long-term relationships with donors who have the capacity to make transformative gifts, while leveraging the relationships and vision of college leaders to secure support for strategic priorities and initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for securing sponsorships, ticket sales, and gifts-in-kind for the Annual Evening of Hope Gala for the Scott Center of Autism. This position will work collaboratively with University Events & Protocol, The Scott Center, the Foundations Grant Writer, and a volunteer committee to achieve revenue and attendance goals. The Director of Philanthropy communicates and travels to develop and strengthen prospect relationships. Participates in a broad range of events on and off campus having a strategic impact on the success of individual prospect relationships. The Director works collaboratively with other staff in the Advancement Division, the Department of Athletics, as well as college administrators, faculty, and staff to support the College and it's stakeholders.
