Director of Pharmacy - Hospital
About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in the Independent, Missouri area. This role involves pharmacy leadership and oversight, supporting hospital startup and pharmacy setup, medication ordering and coordination with nursing staff, Omnicell stocking and automation support, policy and procedure development, and general pharmacy operations. The position is in a hospital environment and requires flexibility in a developing setting. The assignment is ongoing until a permanent hire, with a start date of June 1st.
Requirements
- Active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing
- Inpatient hospital experience required
- Background check
- Drug screen
- HIPAA training
- Code of Conduct attestation
- Additional site onboarding requirements expected
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health experience preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
- Order entry system: HCS or Cerner (preferred)
- Automation: Omnicell (preferred)
