About The Position
Hospital Director of Pharmacy – Full Time ($70–$80/hr) Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy for a hospital opportunity in the Newark, OH area. This role will oversee pharmacy operations, clinical services, and regulatory compliance within an inpatient setting. Assignment Details Start: ASAP Duration: Direct hire / permanent placement preferred Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts On-call: Rotating coverage, approximately every 4th weekend Requirements Active Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing Previous Director of Pharmacy or strong pharmacy leadership experience required Inpatient hospital experience required Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, medication safety, and clinical operations Responsibilities Oversee all pharmacy operations and staff Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital policies Lead clinical and operational pharmacy initiatives Manage inventory, workflow, and staffing Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams Support accreditation readiness and regulatory standards Additional Information Inpatient hospital setting Leadership role with full operational oversight Opportunity for long-term placement within an established system Credentialing Requirements Background check Drug screen HIPAA training Code of Conduct attestation Additional site onboarding requirements may apply Want to learn more about what it is like to work for SMS? Requirements
- Active Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing
