About The Position

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy for a full-time opportunity in Sacramento, CA. This position involves overseeing pharmacy operations across two behavioral health facilities, including staff management, scheduling, regulatory compliance and daily pharmacy services. We are looking for a pharmacist with strong leadership experience who can maintain efficient pharmacy operations and ensure continuity of care across both locations.

Requirements

Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
Pharmacy management or leadership experience required
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, but candidates with strong management skills will be considered
Behavioral health pharmacy experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to oversee pharmacy operations and staffing across two facilities
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and hospital pharmacy standards

Responsibilities

Oversee daily pharmacy operations across two behavioral health facilities
Manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
Coordinate scheduling and ensure adequate staffing coverage at both locations
Provide direct pharmacist coverage as needed
Participate in hospital committees and interdisciplinary meetings
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards
Support medication safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure continuity of pharmacy services and effective communication between both facilities
Provide on-call and occasional weekend coverage as required
