About The Position

Dyania Health is seeking its first dedicated People leader to build the People function from the ground up. This role will establish strategy, systems, and infrastructure for a global team across the US and Greece. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, the Director of People will own every pillar of the function, including organizational strategy, compensation, recruiting, onboarding, HR operations, culture, and performance. This is a unique opportunity to define People leadership at Dyania long-term and build the organization, as people are central to the company's success, driving its intellectual property and applied AI research. The ideal candidate will approach organizational problems with structured, quantitative rigor and be a hands-on executor comfortable with both strategic design and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive People leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success building strategic people systems and processes from scratch.
  • Analytical foundation with early career experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or business operations.
  • Hands-on executor comfortable with both strategic and administrative tasks.
  • Deep working knowledge of US employment practice and multi-state compliance.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leadership at a venture-backed or growth-stage technology company.

Nice To Haves

  • Cross-border experience working across the US and Europe, including familiarity with international employment and GDPR.
  • Experience supporting international expansion, organizational transformation, or public-company readiness.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, or migrating HR platforms (HRIS, payroll, EOR) as a company scaled.
  • Comfort preparing People materials for board and investor audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organizational strategy and structure, including a dynamic workforce plan.
  • Roll out company-wide goal-setting processes and build structured performance review cycles, job leveling, and career architecture.
  • Design and implement a market- and performance-aligned compensation philosophy and pay bands.
  • Develop the recruiting strategy and a structured interview process for future hiring.
  • Create onboarding processes, materials, and training for new hires.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle end-to-end, including US multi-state and European employment compliance, HRIS, policies, payroll coordination, and offboarding.
  • Establish employee engagement initiatives, feedback loops, and culture-building practices.
  • Develop first-time managers through coaching and training.
  • Establish structured town halls and a cadence for sharing company goals and business updates.
  • Hire, lead, and develop the People team, starting with a junior team member.
