About The Position

Tekmetric is seeking a Director of People Partnerships to establish and lead the people partnerships function within the company. This role is crucial for scaling the People function as Tekmetric grows. The Director will manage and develop a team of People Partners, own senior leader relationships, and handle escalated employee matters. This position reports to the VP of People & Culture and collaborates with other People leaders to build a strong People function. The role involves owning the Talent Architecture, including org design, workforce planning, and succession planning. It also requires building manager capability across the organization through various development programs and using data to diagnose team health and performance issues. The Director will act as an escalation point for complex situations and partner with the People Leadership Team to deliver integrated people solutions.

Requirements

  • Track record of outcomes in building and developing a team, owning complex org challenges, influencing senior leaders, and making organizations measurably better.
  • Managed and developed a team of HRBPs or People Partners, with specific examples of elevating team members.
  • Experience in doing the work yourself, not just overseeing it; modeling how to handle difficult situations.
  • Setting a high bar for team quality, consistency of judgment, and impact.
  • 8-12+ years in people partnership or a closely related function.
  • At least 3-4 years at the director or senior HRBP level in a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
  • Experience building processes and infrastructure in a fast-scaling environment.
  • Experience supporting revenue-generating or customer-facing teams and understanding quota-carrying managers.
  • Experience partnering with R&D organizations, understanding their team-building and hiring processes.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior leaders through sharpness, directness, and usefulness.
  • Ability to identify organizational risk early, bring clarity to ambiguity, and know when to push back or align.
  • Ability to deliver hard feedback, coach managers, and present to leadership teams with calibrated approaches.
  • Comfort with HRIS platforms (Rippling a plus), people analytics, and performance management tools (Lattice or similar).
  • Ability to pull data and tell a story.
  • Active use of AI tools to improve work and bring that orientation to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the frameworks, operating rhythms, and standards for people partnerships at Tekmetric.
  • Manage and develop a team of 2-3 People Partners embedded across GTM, Customer, R&D, and G&A divisions.
  • Own senior leader relationships and escalated employee matters.
  • Design and maintain a rigorous approach to org design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify roles that are single points of failure and areas where leadership pipelines are thin.
  • Coach and develop People Partners, setting the standard for great people partnership.
  • Build the manager capability of the entire organization through calibrations, succession planning, performance rigor, and coaching frameworks.
  • Use engagement data, attrition signals, and pattern recognition to diagnose team health and performance gaps.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex and sensitive situations.
  • Partner with the People Leadership Team to deliver integrated people solutions, including hiring strategy, onboarding, compensation, and leadership development.
