About The Position

Botify is seeking a hands-on, people-first HR leader to own the US employee experience. As Director of People & Culture, you will lead the US People team, partner with global leadership, and shape the employee experience for both in-office and remote employees across the country. This is a high-visibility role requiring a balance of strategy and execution, with the ability to move quickly and build trust at all levels. The role emphasizes the importance of in-office presence for building trust, offering immediate support, and facilitating important conversations, ensuring the on-site team feels valued and supported.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years managing an HR or People team.
  • Experience as an HR generalist or HRBP in a fast-paced tech, SaaS, or high-growth environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance, particularly New York.
  • Demonstrated experience managing office operations or workplace experience, and supporting distributed or hybrid teams.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters with empathy and fairness.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence in the office; comfortable influencing senior leaders and partnering across time zones.
  • A builder's mindset: comfortable rolling up your sleeves, improving processes, and making things better.
  • Strong interest in AI and potentially experience using it to improve People processes.
  • Proficiency with PEO & HRIS Systems and people tools (BambooHR, Justworks, etc).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a global or multinational company is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the US People team, setting priorities and ensuring best-in-class service.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to US leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and team health.
  • Own US HR operations, including onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data integrity, policies, handbook, and compliance.
  • Partner with global People leadership to align US programs with company-wide strategy.
  • Support compensation, benefits, and annual cycles in partnership with global teams and vendors.
  • Own the management and experience of the NYC office, including vendor relationships, facilities, budget, health and safety, and day-to-day operations.
  • Create an in-office environment that fosters connection and culture through thoughtful space planning, events, and rituals.
  • Design and deliver an equitable, engaging experience for remote employees.
  • Drive engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications.
  • Use engagement surveys, feedback, and people data to identify trends, measure impact, and recommend action.
  • Partner on learning and development and manager-enablement programs.
