About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced and strategic healthcare leader to serve as the Director of Patient Safety. This role is responsible for leading and advancing a comprehensive, hospital-wide patient safety program focused on eliminating preventable harm and strengthening a culture of safety. The Director will partner with executive leadership, clinical teams, and key stakeholders to drive system-wide safety initiatives, risk reduction strategies, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
• 3–5 years of recent experience in Patient Safety, Risk Management, or Quality Improvement
• Experience must be within a clinical setting (hospital, ASC, or similar)
• Strong emphasis on direct Patient Safety experience

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in a healthcare-related field
• Clinical background preferred

• Lead initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate patient safety risks
• Develop and implement systems to reduce preventable harm
• Oversee risk management and claims-related activities
• Promote and sustain a strong culture of safety across the organization
• Drive measurable improvements in patient safety outcomes
• Lead safety education and awareness programs
• Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership to align safety strategies
• Engage patients and families in safety initiatives
• Lead and develop a team, focusing on performance and capability building
• Implement patient safety programs, policies, and best practices
• Monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts
• Support adoption of enterprise-wide systems and processes
