RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Patient Care Services (RN) to join our growing home health team. This leadership role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all clinical services. The DPCS establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and practices that uphold high-quality patient care and align with the organization’s mission and philosophy. Clinical & Operational Leadership Oversees all direct and indirect patient care services delivered by clinical staff. Provides leadership, guidance, and support to Coordinators and Clinical Supervisors to ensure continuous improvement in care delivery. Assists Clinical Supervisors with team management, staffing, and daily clinical planning. Supports clinical personnel with assessments, care planning, care coordination, and evaluation of patient and caregiver needs. Compliance, Quality, & Performance Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing home health operations and personnel. Leads performance improvement initiatives, including productivity reviews, quarterly assessments, and annual evaluations. Evaluates Clinical Supervisors and assists them in developing effective clinician performance evaluation skills. Maintains oversight of clinical documentation and ensures accurate, timely, and compliant recordkeeping. Ensures the safe and high‑quality delivery of all home health services. Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities Assists the Executive Director/Administrator with budget development and fiscal oversight. Monitors operational indicators such as census trends, staffing needs, and service volume to guide organizational decisions. Manages recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and termination of organization personnel. Oversees inventory management to ensure adequate supplies and equipment for patient care. Develops, implements, and evaluates orientation and ongoing education programs for clinical and administrative staff. Helps establish organizational goals and develops policies and procedures to support operational excellence. Promotes home health services within the healthcare community. Serves as Acting Executive Director/Administrator in their absence. QUALIFICATIONS Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Minimum three (3) years of home health management experience required. Strong understanding of home health regulations, standards of care, and compliance requirements. Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) preferred. Proven ability to lead, supervise, and mentor clinical and administrative staff. Effective communication skills with the ability to engage tactfully with patients, families, referral sources, and community partners. Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and ability to travel as needed. Strong observational, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of business operations and applicable state and federal regulatory guidelines. Requirements
